8-Year-Old Boy Sets Cholan World Record by Solving 180 Multiplication and Division Problems in 3 Minutes Using the Abacus Method

Nishvik, the 8-year-old son of Dineshraj and Sherin, residing in Kaludawela, Matale District, is currently training at the S.I.P. Abacus Skill Development Center in Matale. 

Observing his speed in solving calculations during continuous training sessions, his teachers, Chakrapriya and Surendran, decided to register his talent as a world record. 

The event was held at T B Jaya Mawatha, Colombo, in the presence of adjudicators from the Cholan Book of World Records. 

During this event, Nishvik solved 180 problems by multiplying two- and three-digit numbers with a single-digit number and dividing three-digit numbers by a single-digit number, all within 3 minutes with accurate results.

His attempt was officially monitored by Sri Nagavani Raja, Vice President of the Sri Lankan Branch of the Cholan Book of World Records, and Clarence Samuel, Director of the People Helping People Foundation. 

They certified his achievement as a world record and honored the record-breaking student with a framed certificate, commemorative shield, medal, ID card, and file.

The management team of the S.I.P. Abacus Training Center congratulated and appreciated this young mathematical prodigy for his Cholan World Record.
