Rupee Takes a Dip: US Dollar Gains Ground in Sri Lanka’s Commercial Banks
The Sri Lankan Rupee has recorded a mild depreciation against the US Dollar at several commercial banks across the country today (October 30), compared to Wednesday’s rates.

At Seylan Bank, the buying rate of the US Dollar rose from Rs. 300.90 to Rs. 301.15, while the selling rate increased from Rs. 306.40 to Rs. 306.65.
Similarly, NDB Bank reported higher exchange rates, with the buying rate up from Rs. 300.90 to Rs. 301.25 and the selling rate rising from Rs. 307.40 to Rs. 307.75.
At People’s Bank, the buying rate climbed from Rs. 300.70 to Rs. 301.00, and the selling rate edged up from Rs. 307.33 to Rs. 307.63.
Commercial Bank also showed a modest increase, with the buying rate moving from Rs. 298.93 to Rs. 299.03, and the selling rate rising from Rs. 307.40 to Rs. 307.50.
Meanwhile, Sampath Bank recorded an increase in both rates, with the buying rate advancing from Rs. 300.75 to Rs. 301.25, and the selling rate from Rs. 307.25 to Rs. 307.75.
