Chennai, April 16 — Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar has officially stormed back into the box office spotlight with his latest release, Good Bad Ugly, which has now become the highest-grossing Tamil film of 2025, according to a report by Sacnilk.com.
Directed by Adhik Ravichandran and produced by Mythri Movie Makers—marking their debut Tamil production—Good Bad Ugly has grossed approximately ₹148.50 crore worldwide in its first four days, surpassing both Ajith's previous film Vidaamuyarchi (₹136 crore lifetime) and Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dragon (₹152 crore) within a span of just five days.
The film saw an impressive domestic collection of over ₹100 crore, including a whopping ₹84 crore from Tamil Nadu alone. With a strong start to the week and an extended holiday window, industry trackers predict the movie could surpass ₹170 crore gross in its five-day opening weekend, and potentially cross ₹200 crore worldwide by the end of its first week. This would make it only Ajith’s second film ever to hit the 200-crore milestone globally.
Starring Ajith Kumar in a dynamic role, the ensemble cast of Good Bad Ugly includes Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Das, Sunil, Karthikeya Dev, Priya Prakash Varrier, Prabhu, Prasanna, Tinnu Anand, and Raghu Ram.
The film's success comes as a major turnaround for Ajith after the underwhelming performance of Vidaamuyarchi earlier this year, and fans are hailing Good Bad Ugly as a monumental comeback for the beloved star.
As the film continues to dominate theaters, industry watchers will be keen to see just how high Good Bad Ugly can climb in the weeks ahead.
