A tragic road accident in Australia has claimed the life of an 8-month pregnant Indian woman and her unborn child. The incident occurred in the Hornsby suburb of Sydney, where Manvitha Dhareshwar, who lived with her husband and 3-year-old son, was walking with her family.
While crossing the entrance of a parking area, a car approached in front of them. At that moment, a luxury car speeding from behind crashed into the first vehicle, causing it to be violently pushed forward and strike Manvitha. She suffered severe injuries in the impact.
Locals rushed her to a nearby hospital, but despite efforts, both Manvitha and her unborn baby could not be saved.
Police have launched an investigation and are questioning the drivers involved. Charges including dangerous driving causing death, negligent driving causing death, and causing the loss of an unborn child have reportedly been filed against them.
