The vessel, which had 25 people on board including French tourists, a tour guide, and the captain, overturned about 2.5 nautical miles from Sultan Qaboos Port in the Gulf of Oman.
In addition to the fatalities, two tourists suffered minor injuries. French authorities have not yet issued an official response to the incident. The report was published by Reuters.
