Kashvee Gautam Earns Maiden ODI Call-Up for Sri Lanka Tri-Series
Promising pacer Kashvee Gautam has been handed her maiden ODI call-up as the BCCI named the Indian women's squad for the upcoming Tri-Nation ODI Series in Sri Lanka, featuring the hosts and South Africa.

NEW DELHI, April 8 — Promising pacer Kashvee Gautam has been handed her maiden ODI call-up as the BCCI named the Indian women's squad for the upcoming Tri-Nation ODI Series in Sri Lanka, featuring the hosts and South Africa. The tournament begins April 27, with the final set for May 11.
The series marks the return of regular captain Harmanpreet Kaur, who was rested during India’s recent home series against Ireland. Renuka Singh Thakur, Titas Sadhu, and Pooja Vastrakar miss out due to injuries, while Shafali Verma remains excluded.
Kashvee’s inclusion comes on the back of an impressive WPL 2025, where she claimed 11 wickets, emerging as the joint-highest Indian wicket-taker alongside Shikha Pandey. Her lower-order power-hitting also bolstered her case for selection.
Also earning maiden call-ups are left-arm spinners N Shree Charani and Shuchi Upadhyay — the latter having been named Player of the Tournament in the 2024–25 Senior Women's One-Day Trophy.
India Women's Squad:
Harmanpreet Kaur (C), Smriti Mandhana (VC), Pratika Rawal, Harleen Deol, Jemimah Rodrigues, Richa Ghosh (WK), Yastika Bhatia (WK), Deepti Sharma, Amanjot Kaur, Kashvee Gautam, Sneh Rana, Arundhati Reddy, Tejal Hasabnis, N Shree Charani, Shuchi Upadhyay.
