12 Sri Lankan Cricketers in IPL 2026 Auction List – Hasaranga, Pathirana, and Theekshana Set at ₹2 Crore Base Price
A total of 1,355 players have registered for the auction, competing for just 77 available slots across the league’s 10 franchises.
Twelve Sri Lankan cricketers have been included in the shortlisted player list for the IPL 2026 auction, as confirmed by the final roster released by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
The auction is scheduled to take place on December 16, 2025, at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, beginning at 1:00 PM local time (2:30 PM IST).
Among the Sri Lankan contingent, star players Wanindu Hasaranga, Matheesha Pathirana, and Maheesh Theekshana are listed in the highest base-price category of ₹2 crore each.
Experienced internationals Pathum Nissanka, Kusal Mendis, and former national captain Dasun Shanaka are also up for auction, alongside emerging talents Charith Asalanka, Dunith Wellalage, and Viyaskanth Vijayakanth.
Completing Sri Lanka’s representation are wicketkeeper-batsman Kusal Perera, all-rounder Traveen Mathew, and left-arm fast bowler Binura Fernando.
